Ship Norwegian Encore
In the fall of 2019, the Norwegian Encore ship entered service with Norwegian Cruises. The ship, the fourth and final of the Breakaway Plus class, was built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany and embarked on its maiden voyage from Miami, Florida. In addition to the Eastern Caribbean, it also takes its guests to Alaska, Bermuda, Northern Europe, the Pacific coast, or transatlantic cruises.
“Excitement. Relaxation. Encore.” Norwegian Cruises presents Encore as an experience that its guests will want to relive again and again, as experiencing great moments on the most amazing ship will certainly not be enough for them just once.
On board the Norwegian Encore, an incredible 16 restaurants await, ready to cater to the diverse tastes and dietary restrictions of guests. The three main restaurants – Taste, Savor, and The Manhattan Room – are complemented by specialty restaurants: the American Cagney's Steakhouse, the French Le Bistro French Restaurant, or the Garden Café offering Italian pasta or waffles. A unique experience is the Chef's Table, a private dinner for up to 12 guests, spiced up with the presence of the chef and a VIP tour of the ship's backstage. The menu includes social spaces Observation and Horizon Lounge with their own bars and unparalleled semicircular views.
On the top deck, adventure-seeking guests will find a 335-meter-long, two-level go-kart racetrack, extending meters beyond the ship's deck. In the hunt for the treasure of the lost Atlantis, passengers will experience a mix of laser battle with augmented reality, and the latest technology is also prepared for them in the virtual reality-infused Galaxy Pavilion, covering more than 900 square meters with simulators and increasingly popular escape games.
The stunning aquapark offers two multi-story slides, the tandem racing slide Aqua Racer, and Ocean Loops, extending beyond the ship's boundaries. The main pool and whirlpools are intended for relaxation, while the youngest guests will enjoy plenty of fun in the children's aquapark with slides, water cannons, and buckets, and a range of other attractions.
An evening full of amazing entertainment is promised by the Encore Theatre and its great Broadway shows: the award-winning musical Kinky Boots, The Choir of Man set in a British pub, or the musical Happy Hour Prohibition, filled with famous hits from the 1920s. This is complemented by comedy performances, live music from a Beatles revival at The Cavern club, or a night with great DJs.
Younger guests can enjoy fun video arcades, and the space Entourage, exclusively for teenagers (13-17 years old), is filled with music, movies, and dance parties. Children from 6 months to 2 years old, accompanied by at least one parent, can try a range of activities, games, and toys in the Guppies Nursery, while passengers aged 3 to 12 can enjoy the Splash Academy with games, sports, or artistic activities and events for the whole family.
Active visitors will appreciate the outdoor jogging track or the fitness center equipped with cardio and strength machines, offering group classes in aerobics, spinning, or Zumba, or workouts under the supervision of a personal trainer. The ideal place for relaxation is the Mandara Spa with a range of traditional and exotic treatments, thermal baths, or a beauty salon and barber shop.
