Nagasaki (Kyushu) / Japan / Until the mid-16th century, it was just a small fishing village, and subsequently, an important port and prosperous industrial city that became known worldwide in May 1945 when an atomic bomb was dropped on it. Today, besides the Atomic Bomb Museum, you will find many other monuments that commemorate the events: the Peace Park with a fountain, the remnants of the Roman Catholic Cathedral, and the "one-legged" torii gate of the Sanno Shrine. Climb Mount Inasa and enjoy the views of Nagasaki. Visit Hashima Island, abandoned in the 1970s and left to the mercy of nature. And finally, have fun at the Penguin Aquarium.

At the early 17th-century castle, delve into the rich history of the region, and at the railway museum, explore the past of its train transportation.
