Valparaíso / Chile (embarkation) / Valparaíso, a port city on the Pacific Ocean coast, is one of the most distinctive and colorful places in Chile. It is renowned for its hilly neighborhoods, historic "ascensores" funiculars, and vibrant street art, which gives the city a unique character. The historic center, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recalls the period of the greatest glory of this significant trading port, while the Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción neighborhoods attract with cafes, viewpoints, and narrow streets with ocean views. The distinctive atmosphere, cultural life, and unique character make Valparaíso one of the most interesting destinations on the Chilean coast.

Puerto Montt / Chile / In southern Chile, about a thousand kilometers from the capital, Santiago, you will find Puerto Montt. The city was founded by German colonizers in 1853 and was named after the then Chilean president who invited them to the country. The economy of the city, which was leveled by an earthquake in 1960 only to be rebuilt later – larger and more modern –, is based on agriculture, livestock farming, and fishing, but it is also becoming increasingly important as a tourist destination. Puerto Montt is the gateway to the Chiloé Archipelago, and people come here primarily for the stunning nature.

Chilean Fjords (scenic cruising) / Chile / From Cape Horn to the mouth of the Reloncaví River, the western coast of South American Chile is lined with countless bays and channels, known as the Chilean (or Patagonian) fjords. The first Europeans to arrive in the area inhabited by the indigenous Patagonian tribes were the Spanish, and today tourists flock here primarily for the breathtaking scenery. Land at Cape Horn and admire the stunning nature of the world's southernmost national park. Be enchanted by the majestic glaciers of Glacier Alley, descending all the way to the sea level. Visit Wulaia Bay and the museum dedicated to Charles Darwin, and observe colonies of Magellanic penguins, elephant seals, dolphins, and whales.
