Oranjestad (Aruba) / Constituent Countries of the Netherlands / The former Dutch colony cannot deny its past: Oranjestad, the capital and largest city of the Caribbean island, is still adorned with tall colorful houses and a former fortress from the late 18th century. Interesting places include the Aloe Museum with a factory, which showcases the history of growing and processing this plant. The island's interior is characterized by a landscape covered with cacti and peculiar divi-divi trees shaped by the wind.
