Ship MSC Euribia
The shipping company MSC introduces its latest ship, MSC Euribia. The ship is named after the Greek goddess who, as the daughter of the sea god Pontus, was able to control the sea. The construction of MSC's most environmentally friendly ship began on June 28, 2021, in France, specifically in Saint Nazaire, in the presence of MSC's executive chairman.
It was launched on June 8, 2023 in Copenhagen, and its godmother became the globally recognized legend - Sophia Loren. MSC Euribia is launching cruises in Northern Europe this summer with 7-day cruises from Germany's Kiel and Denmark's Copenhagen to the stunning Norwegian fjords.
Euribia became the twenty-second ship in the MSC fleet and the second ship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) to achieve significant emission reductions. Like every new ship, Euribia is equipped with some of the most advanced and latest technologies to minimize environmental impact. MSC has long been committed to environmental care with the long-term goal of achieving net zero emissions for its operations by 2050. The company is also a significant investor in next-generation green maritime technologies to support their accelerated development and availability across the industry.
Not only do the decks boast many original artworks, but for the first time, the visual masterpiece is the hull itself. The unique and iconic design by artist Alex Flämig was chosen to represent the message of dedication to the marine ecosystem with his artwork #SaveTheSea.
