The most interesting from Barcelona's history:
The history of Barcelona dates back to ancient Rome when the colony of Barcino was established here. Thanks to its advantageous location on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, the city gradually developed as an important trade and maritime center. In the Middle Ages, Barcelona became one of the most important cities of the Kingdom of Aragon, and its commercial influence extended far beyond the borders of the Iberian Peninsula.
The period of greatest prosperity came at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, when the city experienced an economic boom and a number of buildings in the Art Nouveau style known as Catalan Modernism were built. It was then that architects Antoni Gaudí, Lluís Domènech and Montaner or Josep Puig i Cadafalch created their most famous works. Their buildings are now among Barcelona's biggest tourist attractions, and many are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
In 1992, Barcelona hosted the Summer Olympic Games, which significantly transformed the city's appearance and opened its coastline to the public. Today, Barcelona is a modern cosmopolitan metropolis that combines rich historical heritage, top-notch architecture, a Mediterranean lifestyle, and one of the most important ports in Europe.

Getting to the port:
Barcelona is one of the most important embarkation and transit ports in the Mediterranean. Cruise ships dock at the Port de Barcelona, primarily at the Moll Adossat pier, where the main cruise terminals A, B, C, D, and E are located. The address Moll Adossat, 08039 Barcelona, Spain is most commonly used for navigation. Some smaller ships may also use the terminals at World Trade Center Barcelona, which are closer to the city center. The exact terminal must always be verified in travel documents, as it may vary depending on the shipping company and specific cruise.
The cruise terminals at Moll Adossat are not directly within walking distance from the city center. A port shuttle bus T-3 Portbus runs between terminals A, B, C, D, and E and the area near the World Trade Center / Columbus Monument, connecting with ship arrivals and departures. The stop at Columbus Monument is located near the beginning of the La Rambla promenade and the Drassanes metro station.
