Jersey City is situated between the Hudson and Hackensack rivers and is the second largest city in the state of New Jersey after Newark, home to about 265,000 residents. In the 17th century, the area was settled by the Dutch, and from this time also come the oldest buildings, including the Newkirk House from 1690. In the 1880s, three passenger terminals were opened, through which hundreds of thousands of immigrants flowed into the country. Their gateway to America was Ellis Island, where today there is an interesting Immigration Museum.

The statue was erected in its current location in 1886, together with the pedestal it measures 93 meters and is a symbol of the United States. Bayonne boasts an interesting museum on the theme of firefighting, housed in a fire station from 1870, as well as one of the longest steel arch bridges in the world, the Bayonne Bridge.
In Menlo Park stands a monument to Thomas Alva Edison and a museum dedicated to this significant inventor and entrepreneur, while the Jersey City Museum offers a wide collection of paintings, sculptures, and other works from the 19th and 20th centuries.
The port offers stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, and New York is just a stone's throw away, making it an excellent starting point for exploring the Big Apple with countless shopping and gourmet experiences for which the city is famous.
