day-by-day itinerary2. dayEgas Port (Galápagos Islands) / Ecuador / Egas Port on the western coast of Santiago Island in the middle of the Galápagos Archipelago is one of the most visited places on the entire island. The black sandy beach was named after Hector Egas, the owner of a defunct salt mine, whose lagoon is now home to flamingos. Take a walk from the coast inland, observe sea lions, marine iguanas, and a variety of bird species including Darwin's finches. Explore interesting volcanic formations such as tidal pools, favored by rays and sea turtles. Finally, set out with a snorkel to explore the vibrant life beneath the sea surface.

day-by-day itinerary2. dayRabida (Galápagos Islands) / Ecuador / Just a stone's throw from Santiago Island lies one of the most unique Galapagos islands. Rábida owes its deep red color to the high iron content in the lava rock from which the small island is formed. Be welcomed by sea lions basking in the sun on the red sand. Observe nesting cormorants and pink flamingos, who enjoy the local lagoon, and take a walk inland where Darwin's finches live among the sandalwood trees. End your trip to Rábida beneath the surface in the company of sea turtles, rays, and white-tipped sharks.
-
day-by-day itinerary3. dayElizabeth Bay (Galápagos Islands) / Ecuador / On the western coast of the largest Galapagos island, Isabela, lies Elisabeth Bay. Set off among the mangrove forests aboard a local "panga" boat and admire their rare inhabitants – rays, whitetip sharks, or endangered green sea turtles. Stop by the group of rocky islets Marielas, which, thanks to the cooler waters of the island's western coast, are home to one of the largest colonies of Galapagos penguins. Observe herons and pelicans, and then rent a kayak to get literally within arm's reach of the unique nature.
-
day-by-day itinerary3. dayTagus Cove (Galápagos Islands) / Ecuador / On the western coast of Isabela, the largest of the Galápagos Islands, lies a place whose advantageous location was utilized by pirate and whaling ships three hundred years ago. The sheltered bay of Tagus Cove, named after a British warship, offers stunning landscapes both above and below the sea surface. Take a walk to the nearby ridge and enjoy the magnificent views of Darwin Lake, the volcano, and sandalwood trees as far as the eye can see. Admire rare bird species, including the rarest thrush in the world, and then put on a snorkel and go swimming with the Galápagos penguins, the only ones north of the equator.
